Summary - EGN Thailand Executive Leaders Event the 26 September 2017

EGN Thailand event for Senior Executive Leaders on the 26th of September with a workshop about “How to be a successful and (in)complete leader” at the Pullman Grande Sukhumvit.

A big THANK YOU goes out to all the participants, including potential new members, as well as our speaker and the staff at the venue.

Everybody got a detailed introduction to what EGN does better than anybody else and the reasons why we have 14000+ members globally – how we do knowledge sharing at the highest level with tailor-made peer groups. The benefits EGN provides, especially the close matching of function, level and experience of members was seen as highly value-adding.

The diversity in industries and nationalities was also viewed as a big benefit. A participant wanted to join EGN, but as a main competitor is already a member, he expects the non-compete veto right to be used by that member - hence he was happy to hear, that the next Executive Leaders group is supposed to be opened before the end of October, and kick-off by December.

We also had a very inspiring workshop about "How to be a successful and (in)complete leader" by Dr. Jesper Doepping. One of the very interesting statements was from a Thai survey on preferred leadership style, where 89% of Thai people, on all levels in organisations, prefer a participative or consultative style, against a perceived 57%. Performance Management and how to use it the right way, as well as allowing staff to use their skills and experience to solve problems with own solutions was also a key point.

The next EGN Thailand Executive Leaders event for member and non-members, with a workshop about Business Transformation – Reinventing the company for the digital age is on the 12th of October by the MD from the Boston Consulting Group, Mr. Isada Hiranwiwatkul. We will discuss the impact Digital has on business leadership, the organisation, talents, culture as well as ways of working. Sign up here.
