    Workshop session: Mindfulness and Leadership

The last few years, mindfulness has become prevalent as a philosophy and tool in education, healthcare and other sectors. But how relevant is it really for leaders today? Is it just another hype that will pass or is there real substance to it? And if so, how could it practically help you, your team and your organization?

The research shows that corporate executives that are fully engaged in what they are doing, in the present moment i.e., mindful, are more resilient and can manage highly dynamic and complex environments with lower stress. Individuals who are stuck on “task oriented autopilot” can burn out and fail to sustain high performance over time.

Through this session participants will be able to:

    ·      Understand and use mindfulness practices to improve productivity, relate better to others and be more content

    ·      Develop awareness of unconscious behaviour patterns that might hold you back as a leader

    About the speakers

Kamonwan Khamching and Aaron Quinn are consultants at the Asian Leadership Institute based in Chiang Mai. For over 35 years the Institute has used mindfulness-based approaches to accelerate development of executives and their teams across sectors and countries.
