About EGN

  • What is EGN?

EGN, Executives’ Global Network is a privately-owned, independent peer group organisation with headquarters in Denmark and peer groups in 15 countries worldwide.

Since 1992, EGN has provided tailored peer groups for business leaders and specialists.

Through business relationships and experience-sharing in a confidential setting, we strive to create personal, professional and business value for our peer members.

What started as one man’s vision in 1992, is today a global network of 14,000 members, representing more than 8,000 companies and 70 professions. A trusted, worldwide network of peers with a shared ambition of making each other better - every day.

  • Who is behind EGN?

EGN, Executives’ Global Network was founded in 1992 in Svendborg, Denmark, by Jeanette and Jørgen Galsgaard. As a CFO, Jørgen Galsgaard found himself in a situation with a shortage of peers whom he could ask for advice. This prompted him to start a professional peer group network for Financial and Accounting Officers.

In 1996, the first peer group for IT Managers was established and in the following years, the professional range of the network grew to include executives and specialists from Logistics, Purchasing, Sales & Marketing and General Management.

In 2004, businessman Jens Erik Karlskov Jensen came on board as co-owner and Chair.

In 2007, the first peer group launched in Sweden - thus establishing the second node in our global network. Later that year, Norway and Singapore were added and in the following years, EGN Group expanded significantly, especially in Europe and Asia, bringing us to where we are today.

From the very beginning, the objective has been to help people and companies grow through business relationships and experience sharing in a confidential setting.

In 2014 Jørgen Galsgaard and Jens Erik Karlskov Jensen withdrew from the day-to-day management but they still play an active role in the board of directors, of which Jens Erik Karlskov Jensen is Chairman.

As our networks build on personal business relationships and experience-sharing in a confidential setting, the membership is personal and cannot be shared.

  • Can I test a peer group?

All candidates must be approved by both the Chair and specific peer group members before joining a group. This is done both to match relevant peers and also to avoid private friends, customer relationships and competitors being placed together in the same network group and to help facilitate honest and fruitful discussions.

For this reason, it is not possible to test a peer group, as such.

During the year, however, we have introductory meetings where you will get the opportunity to gain an insight into the network. Contact us to find out when the next meeting is or keep an eye on our event calendar.

  • Why doesn’t EGN admit consultants?

EGN is an independent network with a focus on creating personal, professional and business value for our peers through business relationships and experience-sharing in a confidential setting.
